Two More "Father's Day" Card Ideas with little sneak peeks

Well these two cards will be the last of my efforts for "Father's Day" cards for this year anyway because I'm itching to get started on "Chrissy" ones especially since product from Stampin' Up! two new catalogues will be available for all in one week's time! They both have lots of new Holiday Season products and ideas galore! As you will be able to see in this post and the one previous I am sooo taken with the new "Core'dinations" cardstock and the new "Woodgrain" embossing folder I can't seem to put them down, they are brilliant for male cards and I am using them both in some Chrissy projects I am working on too which I will be posting up this week. Can't wait to put in my order next week from the new cattys but I know this week will just fly by before I know it and Christmas is only 120 sleeps away!!!.....I'll sign off on that scary note!!!...........Sue

Father's Day Card Ideas with some Stampin' Up! little sneak peeks

I haven't posted for over a week but that's because I've been busy playing with my new Stampin' Up! pre order goodies and I have a whole lot of projects happening but I've been starting them and then starting something else and now I better start finishing some of them! The Father's day shirts are "an oldie but goodie" idea that I originally learnt about ten years ago and thought I would use it in one of my classes this week but I pulled the old template apart and couldn't for the life of me remember how to put it back together! Anyway after quite some fussing and pulling my hair out I eventually remembered how to make it which was "really" frustrating because when I learnt  it ten years ago i also made about fifty of them for a school Father's Day stall, who would think you could forget something you made sooo many of !? lol ! I'm happy with their revamped look using some of Stampin' Up! new products which will be available for purchase from September 1. Not long now!
Oh and the "horsey" punch art idea I cased from US demo Jackie Topa who does brilliant punch art ideas. Cheers for now...............Sue

Triple Layer Cards

These "triple layer" style cards are all over the internet, they are very easy and effective looking so I decided I better have a go and make some with my own spin on them. As far as I can gather the origin of these came from Dawn Olchefske who is a US demo and there are plenty of tutorials to be found for these. They are fun and easy and you can alter the shapes and sizes without any bother - just make your "matting" edges approx. 1/8" bigger than your bases. I'm actually tempted to try and adapt this idea to a scrap page, if I do and it is successful I will be posting it up for sure but that won't be happening tonight! The weekend is all but over and tomorrow is back to early start weekdays........cheers for now......Sue

Another Betsy Birthday Sneak Peek

Well I was so happy with the birthday card I did this morning with this new stamp set that I decided to do another one, with another twist. I needed to make another card today in any case because I noticed another "Birthday Pen Pal" on my calendar in a few days time so this one will be off in the post tomorrow. This one also has another new incolour called "Primrose Petals" but you need to see it for real cause the camera doesn't quite pick it up properly. Well, it's getting late again and tomorrow is another weekday early start...........that's me for now......Sue

Birthday Card - More Sneak Peeks - Also my 100th Post!

My 100th post! Can't believe I've uploaded a hundred posts, which is actually more than 100 projects cause I tend to put up multiple ideas and photos at a time instead of single ones! Went back to playing with the new stuff this morning but had to get a card made for one of my "Birthday pen pals swappers" whose birthday is tomorrow, only to now realise it has to go to S.A. so it definitely won't arrive in time! However better late than never, anyway I think most South Aussies are used to delayed deliveries. Someone posted me something recently from SA and it took 3 weeks to get here!! Go figure??

Well this card is "nice, fresh and cheery" to me! A bit of new DSP from the set "Floral District", two new stamps, one from "Betsy's Blossoms" and the birthday sentiment is from a new hostess set called "Wacky Wishes". The "Gumball" green is a sample of a new incolor and finally just a peek of some new ribbon! Oh! and and I must add the new reconfigured foam stamp pads allow you to emboss without "Versamark", and I've tried it and it does work! All this new stuff and heaps more will be available very soon, not long now till September 1st. I can't wait!!!!!  Cheers..........Sue

Male Birthday card, Female Ocassion card - Sneak Peek

The delivery man left a new box of "goodies" at my door today - my preorder from the new Stampin' Up 2012-2013 catalogue arrived today so it's time to play with new toys again! I never really know where to start or what to play with first! Anyhow I made these cards, one masculine and one feminine both with the same stamp set (except the "Birthday Wishes" sentiment which is from Bring On The Cake) and both from the same new set of Designer Series paper I bought called "Comfort Cafe". Also used the same new framelits Apothecary Accents which goes with the Apothecary Labels framelits we already have. Well the time has just flown tonight and I can't believe it's midnight already but it isn't the weekend yet so I best get some shut-eye for the early weekday start....cheers Sue

A simple scrapbook page, with another "little' sneak peek!

Another "little sneak peek" but it made a big wow for me on this scrapbook page! I "white embossed" one of our new stamps on here and there wasn't much more to it and I have to say I am very happy I purchased Stampin' Up sticky sheets - they really take the pain out of scrapping alphabet letters! Simply cut out a sheet to the size you think you'll need and stick it to the back of your cardstock colour choice and run your letters through the Bigshot! Then all you have to do is peel the back off and stick'em straight onto your page! You can make your letters in whatever coordinating cardstock you please and then you don't have to try and glue or snail them on or whatever....too easy!
Enjoy your weekend.................cheers Sue

Stampin' Up! Mixed Bunch - Just Plain Stampin!

Here's a few examples of "just plain stampin" simple and easy as! I've only used two of the three flower designs in the set here and the best part is Stampin' Up! also has a punch to match called the "Blossom" punch. I'm even happier to say they will carry over from the Autumn-Winter mini catalogue which has just finished to the new catty which begins September 1st! This is a very very versatile set which can be used for all ocassions.

The "Retired List" is now up on the Stampin' Up! website and some retiring items from the 2011-2012 Catalogue are selling quickly so Stampin' Up is updating the list regularly as items sell out. Well "out with old and in with the new" and there's lots of nice stuff coming soon, I'm just looking forward to my pre-order to arrive and all the new goodies to play with, Yay! That's it for me for now......cheers Sue
